If you’re thinking of investing in an MLM business opportunity then you in reality need to know what’s needed for success.

There is a crazy statistic in the mlm business opportunity industry that goes a little like this: 97% of people who invest in a network marketing/mlm business opportunity will fail.

Now that’s a pretty heart wrenching concept when so many people are dreaming of achieving a better life by creating an income from home with the MLM business model, but you have to wonder why there’s such a high failure rate.

I think one of the chief reason why so many people fail is because they don’t realize what they’re getting themselves into by investing in a MLM business opportunity.

It for the most part all starts with someone doing an innocent google search with something like “Make Money From Home” which will result in some options for starting a home based business and most of the time there is an MLM business opportunity amongst those options.

I believe the first mistake that people make is not knowing there is a huge selection of mlm business opportunities to choose from, usually they will get stuck in the first of second mlm they get introduced to by either a goggle search or a friend pitching them.

So if you’re considering investing in an MLM business opportunity the very first thing I would suggest is look around and do your research into multiple companies because at the end of the day it’s going to be your business and you need to be proud of promoting the products and company.

I believe this is the second place that contributes to the high failure rate in this industry because upon investing and becoming a distributor you have a “harsh realization” of how the heck do you bring people into your downline and build a business.

I remember the feeling when I first joined a MLM business opportunity and had that very realization of “ok… now how do I find people to bring into my downline and build my business?”…

I was told to make a list of my friends and family then invite then to check out the business overview presentation, this was all good and well but there was a couple of problems with this strategy which were:

Firstly – I didn’t want to work with my friends and family because they just didn’t have the same goals and vision as I did.

Secondly – My friends and family weren’t too fond of the word MLM they thought I was promoting a scam which thoroughly rubbed me up the wrong way.

For those two reasons alone I knew there had to be a better way to build an MLM business opportunity so I looked towards the internet and heard the term “Generate Leads Online”, right from that moment I knew I just had to learn how to use the internet to find people who were already interested in the network marketing/MLM industry.

I believe this is the third hurdle that generously contributes to the failure rate because of these reasons:

1 – People realize their friends and family don’t approve of what they’re doing and won’t invest so this causes discouragement and people quit.

2 – Or… People continue with their dream and search for a better way “Just like it” to build their business, they then realize they can produce leads online but when they see all the technical challenges and the work that’s involved they throw it in the too hard basket.

3 – Or… People realize there is a better way by generating leads online, they accept the technical challenges such as lead capture pages, auto-responders, online marketing, etc but when it comes to marketing and driving traffic they fall short of the action required to get the ball rolling.

They bounce from one marketing method to another without ever taking the right amount of action with just one marketing strategy to start with, they find themselves in the habit of purchasing all the new marketing courses, constantly learning all types of marketing without actually narrowing down a single marketing strategy and taking regular action.

All of this results in information overload without getting the desired result which can cause people to throw in the towel on their MLM business opportunity.How do you prevent yourself from becoming just another MLM business opportunity failure?

First make sure you choose the right company and don’t just accept the very first one you see, secondly know right from the start that you “need” to learn how to generate leads online that way you will never run out of people to talk to about your MLM business opportunity.
